Recipes for tuna salad – When you haven’t time for cooking!


I’m a mother with five children, and I’m always in the move. Sometimes in the evening, I have no energy to cook too much. Yesterday, I woke up at 6 a.m. Made breakfast for us and I threw myself into the work. Later I quickly prepare lunch because kids come home hungry. And of course, they can not wait even a minute. 🙂 Then comes homework for all of them and guess who can help them? Mommy. After all, I had to go to the parent-teacher conference.

After a long and stressful day, I have no nerves for cooking. Then consider just the salads.

This time the lettuce with canned tuna.

For this salad, you need:


Canned tuna


Lemon juice


Chop the lettuce and tomato. Salt it a little bit and add canned tuna. Pour the salad with a half of lemon juice.

The only thing I was missing is a few chopped olives.

Quick Salad

All you need is lettuce, arugula, canned tuna, little black olives, lemon for dressing and salt. And that’s it.quick tuna salad

Kohlrabi tuna salad


Kohlrabi is one of those foods that we unfairly neglected in the kitchen. It’s an enjoyable taste, can be eaten raw and baked. Great with salads or fish.

Refreshing salad: ground kohlrabi, arugula, tuna, lemon juice, salt, and a little olive oil.kohlabri tuna salad

Zucchini noodles with tuna

Refreshing, tasty, quick, healthy zucchini noodles with tuna with olives and parsley sauce.

Wash zucchini, cut the ends and start peeling. Better when the zucchini is higher because ‘pasta’ is more extended, almost like that of the noodle.  When you get to the inside of zucchini, begin again somewhere else. Interiors are full of water and are not suitable for this dish. If you don’t want to throw them, store them in the freezer in a bag and use it with the stuffing peppers or something else.

Parsley sauce

Put parsley in the blender with three small cloves of garlic, a little sea salt, olive oil and the juice of half a lemon.

Salad of raw Zucchini

Very tasty and very crunchy. Just the way I like it.

Be sure to take those small, hard, dark green zucchini. Peel until to the inside of zucchini, mix with herbs oil, lemon juice, and a little olive oil.

Add salt just before eating in order not to let the water. This salad is excellent with chicken and fish, the way you want it.raw zucchini salad

Try these salads, and you will feel better in your skin. Children usually do not like salads, but if we teach them why it is essential to have a healthy diet, they get used to it. They will love these meals.

    I adore eating salads, while I don’t like cooking at all, honestly.. But I am also a mother and a wife so I usually have to cook dinner/lunch/breakfast for my family 🙂

    Still, I am lucky that my husband loves to cook and he does this anytime he has some spare time 🙂

  2. Very tasty sounding ideas to make for a quick salad. My kids are grown but I try to eat a salad with every dinner. Looking to add a bit a variety and this gives some great ideas for adding tuna to my salad. Love it!

    Isn’t it amazing what you can do with a tin of Tuna and thinks you got lying around the kitchen. All youe recipes look delicious and I will certainly be trying some out,

    I have a question , does it matter if the is in brine or spring water to to make changes to the above recipess.

  4. Some of these recipes have been staples in my own diet during the spring and summer time, when my body prefers more protein, fewer carbs, and just moderate amounts of fats. Tuna has been my go-to simply because it’s quick and easy to prepare. Takes five minutes, if that. Not only, these days we have so many choices of tuna, either canned or bagged, that it never gets old. I can literally eat it all day.

    What I love about these recipes is how easy they are, particularly the limited ingredients. When I have the time, I don’t mind a long list, but sometimes I’ll see a recipe that is purported to be quick and easy and find that it involves a quarter teaspoon of this, a tablespoon of that, 1/3 cup of something else, and on and on for another dozen items.

    Surely there are delicious and nutritious meals that can be made with five ingredients. And you just proved it.
